Old Timer

I finally have my Winchester 75 about as complete as I am going to get her.

She is a little camera shy dressed in her new (to her) Litschert scope. I think she looks great for a 70 year old.

The old Winchesters are hot right now. I may just have a new area to invest in.

Anybody else hooked on older toys?

They dont make em like they used to. My favorite ones are the ones that were passed on to me by my dad and grandfather.

Nice piece you got there.

Is that the original wood on that thing? If so it's in excellent condition and shines really well. Keep doing whatever you've been doing to it, it looks great!

I do have a few...

1899 production Parker VH on a 1 1/2 frame

my 1941 production Winchester 24 16 gauge

Not too old but it was the first year of production, a 1971 vintage Ruger Blackhawk in 45 Colt and 45 ACP...

I also have a very nice Marlin 39 A Golden Mountie that is from 1949 and this civilian "C" serial numbered 1911 from 1949 as well.

Last one for now is my M1 Carbine...a beautiful and accurate Inland from 1942 tho these have been rebuilt since...

Very cool. I will have to have some one dig up some of my pics to add to this.

Re: Old Timer

erocktxmade,
The wood is original and the rifle overall looks to be about 90-95%. The old target rifles were lovingly cared for in a lot of cases. The only thing that is a set back is the butt plate has been replaced.

Absintheur,
That's a great looking collection you have going there!
